Warner Bros dates The Flash film for 2018, Wonder Woman for 2017 and Justice League 2 for 2019

On the small-screen, the CW’s ‘The Flash’ spin-off series of Arrow is doing wonderfully, and that’s enough momentum for DC and Warner Bros. to confirm that a ‘The Flash’ film will be coming out as well.

DC Comics and Warner Bros. Pictures confirmed the film earlier today, the standalone film now has a release window in 2018. The studio stopped short of supplying any concrete details on the project, a director has yet to be named and the studio didn’t confirm who was writing the script to the film. We do know that the film will be a standalone project, it will not connect to the popular TV series that premiered this fall.

Grant Gustin is the Flash on the CW’s series, and in the new film it will be Ezra Miller in the iconic red suit. The news came from the Time Warner earnings meeting today, it was Warner Bros. Chairman and CEO Kevin Tsujihara that announced “The Flash.”

Along with the Flash announcement, Warner Bros. confirmed that the “Wonder Woman” movie will premiere in 2017 and “Justice League: Part 2″ will debut in 2019.

Other films dated with no other information are:

“Suicide Squad,” directed by David Ayer (2016)
“Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa (2018)
“Shazam” (2019)
“Green Lantern” (2020)
