HTC shoots for the best Selfie camera, the HTC Desire EYE

HTC had several announcements today, the company first unveiled the new HTC Desire EYE, a brand new “category-shifting phone,” according to the company’s announcement. “Today, HTC is once again changing the way that people think about technology,” said Peter Chou, CEO, HTC Corporation. “Back in 1997, we allowed people to leave their laptops at home in favor of powerful, pocket-sized smartphone computing. Today we are taking a similar leap forward. Combining incredible hardware with unrivaled software, HTC is reinventing the way we think about imaging. We are taking you out from behind the viewfinder and putting you back where you belong, at the heart of the action.”

The phone is the latest offering from the company, featuring one of the best front-facing cameras available on the market today, with software, “that puts you center frame and looking your best.” The phone offers an amazing 13MP front and rear camera setup, allowing you to zoom, crop and print without compromise. The phone also features BSI sensors for great photos even in low-light conditions, and intelligent dual-LED flash on both cameras provides flattering, natural tones when ambient light levels drop further.

Three dedicated microphones take HTC’s signature audio quality to even greater heights, ensuring crystal clear voice and video calling whatever is going on around you. HTC BoomSound and a stunning 5.2″ Full HD display combine to make the HTC Desire EYE the ultimate multimedia companion and the perfect way to view your photos and videos. The bold, bright, dual-color, waterproof unibody design is not only stylish but ensures that capturing your best side is as simple as possible, with a dedicated two-step camera key for focus, and capture providing comfortable, instant access to great shots, even one-handed. The phone will also feature HTC’s new HTC EYE Experience and Zoe, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and high-speed 4G connectivity.
