Earlier today 20th Century Fox released the first, full-length trailer for Ridley Scott’s upcoming Bible epic ‘Exodus: Gods and Kings’ starring Christian Bale, Joel Edgerton, John Turturro, Aaron Paul, Ben Mendelsohn, Sigourney Weaver and Ben Kingsley. The film won’t hit theaters until December of this year but you can get a new look at the film thanks to the trailer released this morning.

The film follows the life of Moses from the Judeo/Christian Old Testament telling in Exodus. The studio describes the film as, “the story of one man’s daring courage to take on the might of an empire. Using state of the art visual effects and 3D immersion, Scott brings new life to the story of the defiant leader Moses (Christian Bale) as he rises up against the Egyptian Pharaoh Ramses (Joel Edgerton), setting 400,000 slaves on a monumental journey of escape from Egypt and its terrifying cycle of deadly plagues.” Bill Collage & Adam Cooper wrote the script to the film, based on a screenplay by Steven Zaillian.

Exodus: Gods and Kings will premiere in theaters on December 12, 2014
