Amanda Bynes could face jail time after recent DUI arrest this week

In the latest brush with the law, Amanda Bynes was arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning this week on the suspicion of driving while under the influence of a drug. This according to local authorities who made confirmations to the press earlier today (Monday). At 28 this is just one of several run-ins with law-enforcement that Bynes has faced over the last few years.

On Sunday the former actor was stopped by a California Highway Patrol officer after she was found idle at an intersection within the Van Nuys neighborhood of Los Angeles. This was around 4 a.m. according to the police report. Following the arrest Bynes was released after posting $15,000 bail. Bynes is already on probation from a 2012 arrest after she hit a Los Angeles County sheriff’s patrol car, that arrest was also for driving under the influence. Bynes pleaded no contest to alcohol-related reckless driving back in February of this year.

This year Bynes was undergoing psychiatric treatment, she was picked up by authorities after setting a fire in the driveway of a home in Thousand Oaks, California.
