Legos are still one best-selling toys for young children, and for good reason. Few toys offer the endless creativity that the brightly colored bricks offer to children, and they have been a constant fixture in raising boys and girls in America since the toys first hit store-shelves, no matter how painful it is to step on one.
Not just for children, adults have kept their passion for Legos alive and have created everything from simple sets to full-scale Star Wars X-Fighters for different promotions and art-pieces. On that note a new exhibition called the ‘Art of Brick’ featured eighty sculptures by artist Nathan Sawaya. The installation will be on display at The Old Truman Brewery beginning on September 26, 2014 and will run until January 4, 2015. Sawaya is based right out of our own New York City, his popular large-scale sculptures are created with only one medium, LEGO bricks. If you fancy yourself having one made, Sawaya does accepts commission requests according to his website. Beautiful to look at and wonderfully creative, you can find more information on the artist and his touring exhibition on the official website below.
