Broad City headed to NYCC this year, and yes you should attend
One of the hottest new series on Comedy Central will make its debut at New York City’s Comic Con this year. Abbi and Ilana will be heading to Manhattan’s way west side to attend and participate for the first time at New York Comic Con. “Comedy Central’s ‘Broad City’ @ New York Comic Con” panel will feature creators and executive producers Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer as they give fans a behind-the-scenes look of their hit series “Broad City,” screen and provide comedic commentary of a past episode, reveal never-before-seen clips from the upcoming second season, Q&A, and more.
The series has done amazingly well on Comedy Central, now ready to begin on season two starting this fall. “Broad City” launched to critical acclaim on January 22 of last year, the series was created by Jacobson and Glazer, who executive produce along with Amy Poehler, 3 Arts’ Dave Becky, Sam Saifer and Tony Hernandez, and is co-executive produced by Eric Slovin.
The show averaged 1.2 million total viewers per episode in season one, and at the time was set to have the highest-rated premiere season on Comedy Central since 2012 with Adults 18-34 and 18-24, Men 18-34 and 18-24 and Women 18-24.
