Brie Larson, Ben Kingsley join Daniel Radcliffe’s ‘Brooklyn Bridge’
Two stars have been added to the cast of ‘Brooklyn Bridge,’ the next film to star Harry Potter alum Daniel Radcliff. Both Ben Kingsley and Brie Larson have been confirmed as co-stars in the project from Killer Films.
Douglas McGrath is set to direct the film, he also wrote the script to “Brooklyn Bridge,” which is expected to begin production in mid-2015. The film itself will center on Radcliff’s character, a young and inspired engineer named Washington Roebling, the man set to oversee construction on our very own Brooklyn Bridge here in New York City.
Kingsley is set to play Radcliff’s father in the film, the man who was originally in charge of construction before his untimely death. The creation of the Brooklyn Bridge was not an easy task at the time, with dangers, constant construction problems and growing costs taking a heavy toll on Washington Roebling.
In the film Washington Roebling’s wife Emily, played by Larson, was his saving grace and helped him through the tumultuous times.
