Earlier this year we reported that Tom Hiddleston has taken the lead-role in a new biopic focusing on the life of country-music legend Hank Williams, now we can confirm that Elizabeth Olsen has joined the cast as well. The film comes from RatPac Entertainment and Bron Studios, titled ‘I Saw The Light,’ and the film centers on the tragic life of the late country western superstar.

In the original announcement we also confirmed a few of the classic songs that Hiddleston will perform in the movie, including hits like “Your Cheatin’ Heart”, “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” and “Hey Good Lookin’”. In the new film Olsen will play the role of Williams’ wife Audrey Mae.

The film will be directed by Marc Abraham, focusing on the many achievements and personal struggles of William’s life before his early death at just 29. The film is mostly centered on the biography of the legendary singer written by Colin Escott.

Olsen is finishing-up her work in the next Marvel film ‘Avengers: The Age of Ultron,’ she was also in the hit ‘Godzilla’ that released earlier this year.
