He had the number-one movie of the summer, and she had a few number-one hits this summer, now NBC has confirmed with us today that Chris Pratt is set to host SNL when the series returns later this month.
This will be the 40th season of Saturday Night Live (crazy we know) and Chris Pratt will take the coveted spot as host for the premiere. Fans will not have to wait too long to see Pratt in action, Saturday Night Live is scheduled to come back on September 27.
Pratt will be joined by musical guest Ariana Grande, the following host and musical guest will include Sarah Silverman with Maroon 5. If you are keeping track, this is the first time that Pratt will be hosting the popular series, and we hope that it is not the last.
Ariana Grande will make her SNL musical guest debut. Grande is currently sitting at Number One on the Billboard 200 chart with her album “My Everything,” a year after her major label debut “Yours Truly” topped the chart.
On October 4, Sarah Silverman will return to 8H for her first time as host. Taken from Silverman’s Emmy-winning HBO special, her comedy album “Sarah Silverman: We Are Miracles” is due out September 23.
