After being shopped around the Toronto Film Festival this week, Starz has taken the North American distribution rights to Courtney Cox’s directorial debut “Just Before I Go.” The film is a very dark-comedy starring Seann William Scott of ‘American Pie’ fame.
We first reported on the project when it premiered back at the Tribeca Film Festival, the comedy tackles depression and other melancholic subjects while still managing to pull-off a few laughs. The rights were finalized at the Toronto Film Festival just this weekend.

Joining Scott on screen are Rob Riggle, Garret Dillahunt, and Kate Walsh. Also featured in the film are Cox’s ex-husband David Arquette, and Olivia Thirlby.
Producing credits went to Cox and Thea Mann, as well as Gabriel Cowan. Executive Producers are Arquette, Alexandria Jackson, John C. Rhee and John Suits.
