Simone Battle dead at 25, member of girl band G.R.L.
A tragic story to report this morning, rising star girl Simone Battle of the all-female group G.R.L. has been found dead. According to initial reports the performer was found in Los Angeles on Friday, the cause of death is unknown at this point.
Battle’s record company confirmed the death this morning. An official statement from Reign Deer Entertainment, Robin Antin, Kemosabe Records and RCA records reads, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic news of the loss of Simone Battle of G.R.L. Simone was an exceptional young talent and human being, and we are all devastated to learn of her passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and loved ones at this time.”
Simone Battle was a finalist on the 2011 US version of X-Factor, in 2012, she joined G.R.L., the all-girl group formed by Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin. At this time no other members or the police have released any statements on the matter.
