Walt Disney Pictures has confirmed that it will bring back ‘Frozen’ to the big screen, and even sooner than the follow-up sequel was planned to release.
During the ‘Making of Frozen‘ special TV event that aired on ABC this week, Disney confirmed that it will also release a new animated short, called “Frozen Fever,” in the spring of 2015. Just as the original film was, this new installment to the franchise will also be directed by Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee. Don’t worry kids, there will also be a new original song written by the same “Frozen” songwriting team for you to learn, created by the talented Robert Lopez and Kristin Anderson-Lopez.
As of right now we know that in ‘Frozen Fever’ the story will revolve around Anna’s birthday, her sister Elsa and Kristoff are working together to make it very special, but Elsa powers create a bit of a problem for the celebration and the team must work together to save the special day.
More details on when in the Spring of 2015, and where, the short will be released to the public will be finalized as the project moves further along into production.
