A new television series will star the popular comedian Zach Galifianakis, the show was co-created by Louis C.K. and will star Galifianakis as a clown. The project will land at FX, the network greenlit the pilot and as of now it is being called ‘Baskets’. The other co-creator alongside Louis C.K. was Jonathan Krisel.

There will be 10-episodes in the first season, though the show will not hit the small-screen until 2016. The plot will follow Zach Galifianakis as he attempts to be a professional clown, that is his lofty goal but currently he can only find work in a small local rodeo.

“To say Zach’s portrayal of the lead character Chip Baskets is hilarious/unique/riveting/fascinating would be an understatement. We can’t wait for the world to meet him,” FX’s president of original programming for FX Networks said in a statement sent to the press earlier today.
