Universal acquires more of Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles
It’s been almost ten years since we first saw “Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles,” in theaters. The film of course starred Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise back in their 1994 years, now a new set of films will be released with a whole new cast.
It was confirmed today that Universal Pictures has acquired the movie rights to the Anne Rice novels, called “The Vampire Chronicles,” which will be brought to the big-screen by Brian Grazer and Imagine Entertainment. Producing the film will be Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.
This will include a screenplay adaptation of “Tale of the Body Thief,” which wasn’t written by anne Rice but instead, was written by Rice’s son, author Christopher Rice. This isn’t the only work, there was also the popular novel already made into a movie “Interview with the Vampire” and the next film set to release called “Prince Lestat.”
