Dane Cook returns in Troublemaker, premiering on Showtime
Dane Cook will be returning to the stage at long-last in a new stand-up special that will air on Showtime in October. The special-event, TROUBLEMAKER, will be premiering Friday, October 17th at 10 p.m. (ET/PT) on SHOWTIME.
The night was filmed last fall in front of a live-audience, as most of these events are, with Cook discussing everyday life and human behavior. According to Showtime the event will be a new dynamic for Cook:
In TROUBLEMAKER, Cook dismantles the modern-day relationship, holds a mirror up to society and generally torches observational humor to the bone. Cook shares his beliefs and perspectives with his fans and he does not hold back. Delving into a wide range of topics from tech relationships to blowing the lid off of gender secrets to our hidden Internet lives and how we mask our depression, joy and temptations – no topic is off limits.
Dane Cook is already a comedic success story, selling out Madison Square Garden multiple times over, and having just finished his 20-date “Under Oath” tour.
His other film and TV credits include starring roles in My Best Friend’s Girl, opposite Kate Hudson; Dan In Real Life, opposite Steve Carell; Mr. Brooks, opposite Kevin Costner; and a guest starring role on the hit show, Louie, opposite Louis C.K., just to name a few. Cook recently reprised his role as the voice of “Dusty” in Disney’s animated film Planes: Fire & Rescue, the sequel to Planes, which is currently in theaters and has grossed almost $80 million worldwide.
