Donna Tartt’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel “The Goldfinch” heads to Warner Bros
After months of negotiations, Warner Bros. and RatPac Entertainment have finalized the movie-rights to the popular Donna Tartt’s novel “The Goldfinch.” Ratner will join as a producer, along with Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson under the Color Force banner. James Packer is set to executive produce the project.
The film is sure to draw some hype before it’s release, the original novel was on the New York Times bestseller list for 39 weeks. The book follows Theo Decker, a 13-year-old New Yorker, who lives on after being in an accident that killed his mother. Without a father, Theo is raised by a friend’s family with money.
