Matthew McConaughey stops by Comic Con for fans to promote Interstellar
Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey were on-hand, much to the delight of fans, to talk about the upcoming sci-fi epic ‘Interstellar’. McConaughey got a chance to talk about his character stating, ““Cooper is a pilot, an engineer, and a widowed pilot of two children where civilization is just sustaining.” He went to say, “There’s food, clean water, but they don’t need any explorers, no new bright ideas. Then something happens and the dream of being a pilot again knocks on his door.”
The film itself was directed and written by Academy Award-nominee Nolan (“INCEPTION,” “THE DARK KNIGHT RISES”), “INTERSTELLAR” is based on a script by Jonathan Nolan. The film will be produced by Emma Thomas and Christopher Nolan of Syncopy Films and Obst of Lynda Obst Productions. Kip Thorne will executive produce. The film will depict a heroic interstellar voyage to the furthest reaches of our scientific understanding.
