FX confirms Fargo season 2, Louie season 5
FX has confirmed two series that will be coming back next season, first the popular series “Louie” will becoming back for season 5 and freshman drama “Fargo” has been renewed for season two.
“Fargo,” from Noah Hawley, returning for a second season was confirmed by the network earlier today at the Television Critics Association event. The series is based on the popular film from Joel and Ethan Coen of the same name. The first season earned an amazing 18 Emmy nominations and will return with a new crime and new characters.
John Landgraf, CEO of FX Networks & FX Productions stated, “We could not be more proud of Fargo,” adding “Noah’s audacious, bordering on hubristic riff on my favorite Coen brothers film earned 18 Emmy nominations – the most for a single program in our history. Fargo was nothing short of breathtaking and we look forward to the next installment.”
Not surprising is FX’s renewal of “Louie,” coming back to FX for its fifth season now. The network confirm that the show will return with seven new episodes in Spring 2015, the show was nominated for five Emmy awards this year.
“Louie’s fourth season was once again groundbreaking. Sometimes hilarious, sometimes heartbreaking — always thought provoking,” said John Landgraf, CEO, FX Networks & FX Productions. “The show went to narrative and cinematic places no comedy has gone before and we look forward to seeing what Louis comes up with next.”
