Gotham series welcomes you to the dark city with a new trailer
One of the highly-anticipated series that is coming to FOX next season is the Batman prequel ‘Gotham,’ and there is a new trailer welcoming you to the city. The short teaser even has a pretty great musical-score, the song is from Aloe Blacc’s “Ticking Bomb.”
Although the trailer is only 45-seconds, you will still get plenty of Gotham City to see. Once again we meet up with the young Jim Gordon (played by Ben McKenzie) and we see that he is already up to his ears in notorious villains. The Penguin is being played by Robin Lord Taylor, while the former gymnast, actor, dancer and now Catwoman, Camren Bicondova is also testing out the young Detective.
The series is based on the same characters published by DC Entertainment and produced by Warner Bros. Television, GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics Super-Villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. Starring Ben McKenzie (“Southland,” “The O.C.”), Donal Logue (“Sons of Anarchy,” “Terriers,” “Vikings,” “Copper”) and Jada Pinkett Smith (“The Matrix” films, “HawthoRNe”), GOTHAM follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time. Executive producer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist”) wrote the pilot, which was directed and executive-produced by Emmy Award nominee Danny Cannon (the “CSI” franchise, “Nikita”). John Stephens will serve as an executive producer on the series.
Gotham is set to premiere on September 22 at 8pm on FOX.
