Game of Thrones leads 66th Primetime Emmy Nominations

As scheduled the 66th primetime Emmy Awards were announced today, and the popular HBO series “Game of Thrones” has taken the top-spot with 19 nominations in total. Included in that 19 nominations are separate nods to Lens Heady and Peter Dinklage, as well as the show picking up a nod for the coveted outstanding drama series.
The new series “Fargo” was close behind Game of Thrones with 18 nods and “American Horror Story: Coven was next in-line with 17 in total. Other popular series nominated for top-awards are the Netflix series “Orange Is the New Black,” “Silicon Valley,” Breaking Bad and “True Detective.”
This year the Primetime Emmy Awards will be hosted by Seth Meyers and they will air on August 25, 2014 at the Nokia Theater. It will air live on NBC.
