Bill Murray takes on the role of quirky mentor in St. Vincent trailer
There will be thousands of people that will simple be happy enough knowing that Bill Murray is the star of this comedy, but for everyone else, the first trailer helps set the tone for his upcoming role. The film is called ‘St. Vincent’ and it centers on the unlikely relationship that is found between Bill Murray and a young-boy that lives next door.
After the boy’s parents go through a rough divorce, the child finds a strange connection with the war-veteran (Murray) and the less-than-charming older-man becomes somewhat of a mentor and spiritual-guide as he takes the kid under his wing. This of course leads to some hilarious adventures, most of which a twelve year-old should never be on in the first place. The film is part of the Weinstein Company’s October schedule, expected to hit theaters on October 24, 2014.
The film was directed by Theodore Melfi, who also wrote the screenplay, and stars Melissa McCarthy, Bill Murray, Naomi Watts. Joining the stars is long-list of surprise appearances including the wonderful Chris O’Dowd, Terrence Howard, Greta Lee and others.
