Spain’s Alcázar of Seville will be the home of Dorne in Game of Thrones
If you are a foreign country looking to increase your tourism (and failed to land a location-setting in ‘The Hobbit’ Series) then HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ is your next hope. The Queen of England herself took a small trip to Ireland, where she spent a few moments gazing upon the Iron Throne from the set, and now fans will have the lovely country of Spain to visit, if they are planning a world-tour of locations.
The new location was confirmed today by the U.S. ambassador to Spain and the former Vice President of HBO, James Costos. Spain will host one of the most important new locations in Game of Thrones’ Season 5, the exotic city of Dorne, according to HBOwatch.
The city will shoot at the Alcázar of Seville (pictured above) this will be the very important set for the Water Gardens of Dorne, the location of Prince Oberyn Martell’s older brother, Price Doran, who rules the kingdom.
