Jena Malone grabs lead role in Claire, the Le Beau Mariage English remake
The popular actor from ‘The Hunger Games’ is getting a much bigger role in her next project. The young thespian, Jena Malone, is now set to star in an English remake of the popular French film ‘Le Beau Mariage’.
In this new version the film will hit theaters as ‘Claire,’ the project will be the latest adaptation of the Eric Rohmer 1982 French film. Alongside Rilean Pictures, this version will follow the life of the young and free-spirited twenty-something girl, who shares a place in Long Island with her aunt and teenage cousin.
After more troubles arise in her current relationship, with a painter that just happens to be married to another woman, Claire finds another man that she admittedly knows very little about, but sets out on a plan to marry-him anyway. Dori Oskowitz will be making her feature-debut as director, the script will come from Juan Iglesias and Jonathan Saba.
Those two writers, Iglesias and Saba, are also producing the project under the newly formed Rilean Pictures. Fans won’t have to wait too long to see Malone take over the big-screen, she is set to star in both of the final two ‘Hunger Games’ films, the next installment ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Pt 1’ releases this November.
