One last trailer, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes offers dual-wield and all assault ape madness

Sticking with the overall theme of total war between apes and man, the last trailer for ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes’ shows more carnage than ever. The new film is on the verge of release, with just a few more days before the summer-blockbuster attacks the box-office.

The film is the second installment in the rebooted franchise, the first being released in 2011, and now things look bleaker than ever for our human survivors and better for our ape overlords. Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) will be directing this project, Andy Serkis returns for the CGI/Motion Capture lead of Caesar, while new humans come to fight or negotiate peace with the ape army. In the film the genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.

Also starring in this film are Gary Oldman and Keri Russell; Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is set to open on July 11th.
