Disney sets premiere dates for two Steven Spielberg films
There are two major projects from Steven Spielberg coming in 2015 and 2016, and Disney has finally set a release window for both of them.
The currently untitled film circling events of the Cold War will star Tom Hanks (set to play a CIA-hired attorney named James Donovan) this will take viewers into the heart of Russia with hopes of rescuing POW pilot Gary Powers. The film is based on the actual events that transpired in the 1960s.
The film has the Coen brothers producing a final script from the original, that first-script was written by Matt Charman and Spielberg. That film was given an October 16, 2015 release date.
The second Spielberg-directed film is a fantasy adventure film called ‘The BFG.’ That project is from a script by Melissa Mathison based on the Roald Dahl children’s book. In the film a young-girl and a giant set to save England from an evil-faction of other giants. The children’s story will release in theaters on July 1, 2016.
