Among Mindy Kaling’s many talents, writing memoirs ranks up there with landing popular network comedies. Since her days at ‘The Office,’ Kaling has become a stable and lucrative investment for FOX with her latest show ‘The Mindy Project,’ and has become an icon for women around the world battling diversity and sexism in a male-dominated industry. With her appearances at charitable and cause-worthy based industry events, her novels, and her production teams, the world has seen an explosion of Kaling over the past few years.
Now the comedic actor and writer has set her sights on yet another memoir, this will be her second in just three years. The new book will be titled “Why Not Me?,” and it will be a direct sequel to her 2011 bestseller “Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (and Other Concerns)”
In a statement to the press Kailing said, “So much has happened between the time I published my first book and now. The show; my mother passed away; so many of my friends have gotten married. I’m a godmother now, and a homeowner. There’s so much that has happened in that period of time that I wanted to write another book.”
