Sony unveils Uncharted 4 Thief’s End trailer for E3 2014
It’s one of the greatest franchises that the PS3 had to offer, and Sony is bringing the legacy of Nathan Drake to PS4 in an all new installment. Earlier tonight at E3 2014, Sony gave fans a chance to see the new UNCHARTED game that the people at Naughty Dog have been hard at work on these past few years.
At 1080p, the few moments of the game that are shown in the trailer look fantastic. The developers stated, “All footage you see in the trailer was captured completely in engine. We’re targeting 60fps for Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, and as you can see, the visual fidelity for our character models will reach new heights. In fact, thanks to the power of PS4, right now Drake’s Uncharted 4 model is over double the polygons of Joel from The Last of Us PS3.”
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is available for pre-order right now, and the company will have more information to share over the next few months. Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will be available in 2015.
