Dwayne Johnson’s Hercules trailer is a buffet of legendary beasts
The trials of Hercules are legendary, they have been told and retold countless times over the course of human-history, but none of those featured Dwayne Johnson. The second trailer released for the upcoming action-epic features many of the iconic beasts that Hercules had to slay in his early days, including the famed Lion of Nemea, shown briefly in the theatrical trailer.
Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson is larger than ever, with a physical form that he has been cataloging on social-media over the past year. In the film he will be seeking revenge, his family was killed and his people are in danger, a hero is needed even though Hercules himself doesn’t consider himself to be one.
The trailer has been shown in theaters, you may have seen a version when you hit ‘X-MEN Days of Future Past’ but it was released online earlier today (Tuesday) for the whole world to enjoy. The film is part of Paramount Pictures and is based on comics written by Steven Moore in his Hercules series.
Starring in the film along with Johnson are Ian McShane, Rufus Sewell, Joseph Fiennes, Peter Mullan and John Hurt. You won’t have to wait too long to the film on the big-screen, the movie will release on July 25.
