Olivia Cooke’s supernatural thriller ‘Ouija’ set for October 24
An upcoming horror-thriller starring Olivia Cooke, Douglas Smith and Bianca Santos now has a release date, the film will open in theaters just before Halloween on October 24, 2014. The film centers around the three friends as they confront their most terrifying fears after they awaken the dark powers of an ancient spirit board.
Stiles White directs the supernatural thriller that is produced by Platinum Dunes partners Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (The Purge, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th) alongside Blumhouse Productions’ Jason Blum (Paranormal Activity and Insidious series, The Purge), Bennett Schneir (Battleship) and Hasbro. Juliet Snowden and Stiles White wrote the script for Ouija, and Universal will distribute the film worldwide.
Cooke recently appeared in the Bates Motel TV Series as Emmy Decody, while Smith played Tyson in the popular ‘Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters’ film. As for Santos, she was recently in The Fosters TV Series as Lexi Rivera.
The film will be working off a screenplay by Juliet Snowden and Stiles White.
