Just a few weeks after the heart-breaking news that NBC canceled ‘Community,’ Gillian Jacobs has been confirmed as the latest star to join the GIRLS on HBO. Coming off her well-received trip to the Tribeca Film Festival with ‘Life Partners,’ a film that she co-starred opposite Leighton Meester, Jacobs will be added to the cast in a guest role on the popular series.

Right now we know that it will be a recurring role, though details on her character are still slim at this time. This will be the fourth season of HBO’s hit series. Lena Dunham herself made announcement on Twitter earlier today stating,

“Community” was cancelled earlier this month, she will join Donald Glover (who had a part in GIRLS’ season two) as a former Community star that was featured in the series. Fans can set their reminders for the fourth season of “Girls” which will premiere on HBO in early 2015.
