This year viewers will watch Andi Dorfman, a 27 year-old successful woman that has it all, at first glance at least. This includes her loving family, her great friends, and even her dream job, and while that could be enough for anyone, Dorfman will also like to have someone in her life to share them with.
So, last September, she put her busy life on hold to try and find love on “The Bachelor.” She thought she had found her match, but in the end it was not meant to be, and Andi walked away from Juan Pablo. She did not, however, let that experience stop her desire to continue her search for her “great love.” Now, unwilling to settle for less, she is willing to put her dream job as an Atlanta assistant district attorney on hold to pursue the love of a lifetime. Andi will embark on her own journey to find her soul mate, choosing from 25 handsome bachelors when she stars in the tenth edition of “The Bachelorette,” which will premiere at a special time MONDAY, MAY 19 (9:30–11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
Chris Harrison will honor Bachelorette contestant Eric Hill, 32, who tragically died after a paragliding accident in Utah on April 23, after concluding his filming of the show. Chris will reveal how Eric shared passionate and courageous spirit in becoming part of the Bachelor family. This 10th season of “The Bachelorette” will be dedicated to Eric.
Romantic and adventurous dates will reach new heights this season, testing the men’s perseverance in pursuing their romantic objective, along with fun, exciting and exotic dates that will elicit real and raw passions. An action-packed schedule in Los Angeles and surrounding Southern California begins with an escapade that takes Andi and one bachelor from the hot sandy beaches to the snow-capped mountains all within minutes. A group of the men take the stage for charity with a popular show called “Hollywood Men,” but you won’t believe what they do for a good cause. Santa Anita Race Track is the backdrop for a private concert by “This Wild Life” for Andi and one lucky man, but will it lead to the winners’ circle and a rose? Twelve bachelors get a dream date singing with pop superstars “Boyz II Men” in front of a live audience. Will they all stay on key? Andi and another man enter a time warp where they are aged 50 years with the help of Hollywood make-up magic. Then it is off to Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun where 11 of the men face off against a team of WNBA All Stars.
An excited Bachelorette and her remaining suitors travel to Marseille to begin the European leg of their journey. Amour is certainly in the air when Andi and her first date in France are serenaded by Ben Fields. A sneak peek at a new Walt Disney film, “The Hundred Foot Journey,” about French cuisine prompts Andi and her date to attempt to whip up a French delicacy. Then the group journeys to Italy for the ultimate romantic Venetian experience with a surprise date complete with a gondola ride under the Bridge of Sighs. Andi takes another bachelor to the Verona home of Shakespeare’s “Juliet.” However, the Bachelorette will need to make some of her most important decisions before hometown dates in Belgium, traveling to Brussels and Ghent, where Andi and one happy guy watch a famous goose parade and are treated to a concert by “American Young.” Finally, Andi and the last three men head to a secret exotic location where she will find out what her future holds for her. Is a proposal in store for the prosecuting attorney who put her career on hold, or will love slip through her fingers again?
As in the past, men will continue to be eliminated each week, but if at any point a man should decide that he’s no longer interested in the Bachelorette, he can reject her invitation to continue dating. Some lucky man will meet her family, and she will visit their hometowns for a slice of their lives in an effort to determine the man with whom she is most compatible.
At the end of the evening 19 men will remain to try and become the love of Andi’s life.
