Public invited to buy Google Glass, once again for $1,500

Google has stocked up on more Google Glass kits, and is ready to start selling them to the public. Unfortunately the price for those glasses is still $1,500, unless Google makes a surprise announcement between now and when they go on sale. In a post to the official Google Glass / Google+ page the company stated that, “In the last six months, we’ve been amazed and inspired by our Explorers and the individual perspectives you bring.”
“A few weeks ago, we opened up our site for a single day. The response was overwhelming – we almost ran out of inventory and had to close things down early. We’ve since built our inventory back up and plan to continue to accelerate new ways to expand the program in the weeks and months ahead,” Google continued. The company stopped short of announcing a date, or price. More on that will most likely be released the day before the next sell-through.
Google mentioned other industries that it would like to see take-on the Google Glass challenge, including; “new Explorers, like optometrists, sports lovers, online retailers, cooks and travelers.”
No link to a store-front was given in the post and if the other test-sell of the product is anything like the first, odds of snagging a pair for yourself is slim. If you are quick enough though, you could join the Glass movement.
