It has been a few weeks since we last checked in on the upcoming final installments to the Hunger Games franchise, and in the film’s absence from the headlines, the studio has cast another important character.
Former ‘True Blood’ and “Battlestar Galactica” actor Michelle Forbes has been added to the cast, Forbes was also featured in “The Killing,” and will now be part of this year’s largest film franchises. Forbes will join the series in ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay — Part 2,’ and she was granted the role of Lieutenant Jackson.
Fans that have read the books of the YA series know Jackson as one of the prominent soldiers from District 13, the once believed destroyed district of Panem, and the center of the rebel-cause.
Coming back for the fourth film of course will be Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson. The final two-films are being one after the other, to keep cost down and to prevent any scheduling conflicts and minimize the risk of actors not being able to film the final installments.
Fans that are excited to see the final two-films of Suzanne Collins’ YA novels still have an entire summer to get through, the third installment will be released on November 21, 2014 with the fourth and final film releasing on November 20, 2015.
