The mobile matchmaking community has many layers, from giant mega-sites like Match.com and eHarmony, to more casual events like Tinder and Grindr, there’s something for everyone. A new update from Match.com’s mobile app is hoping to capitalize on this mobile trend, with the new iPhone and iPod touch app. The company released the new design, with easier-to-use functionality and new iPhone-exclusive features like Stream and Mixer, the app offers more ways to find the person you are looking for.
A few of the highlights from the app redesign allows users to, “make quick decisions without ever leaving a screen, keeping Match members focused on what they’re here to do – make connections.” One iPhone-only feature, will serve photos of singles by utilizing an innovative algorithm, finding the members who are closest to you. The Stream highlights additional photos in a member’s profile in addition to the primary profile picture, helping you discover more of someone’s personality.
Another iPhone and iPod touch exclusive feature, Mixer, introduces you to new people at warp speed by combining another exclusive algorithm using geographic location and the latest swiping technology, Mixer. “allows you to browse through profiles easier than ever before,” increasing your odds of finding a mate we imagine.
Messages are now organized by each conversation that you’ve had with another person, enabling you to preserve the history between you and a match
