Don’t expect to see Hayden Panettiere in ‘Heroes Reborn’
Fans of the former series ‘Heroes’ should have been excited to hear that the series would be returning for a special-event series sometime in 2015. Unfortunately it looks like the former star of the show, Hayden Panettiere, won’t be reprising her character anytime soon.
In the original show Hayden Panettiere played famed cheerleader Claire Bennet, but when it comes to “Heroes: Reborn,” it looks like she will be sitting this one out. Panettiere told Cosmpolitan that although the show is getting a new storyline, no one from the studio has contacted her about coming back to the set.
When asked about the new show Hayden stated, “It was a shock to me,” adding, “I mean, we had nothing, nothing to do with it; it will definitely be interesting to see how they reinvent that.” Although Hayden doesn’t have the same cell rejuvenation powers as her former character, we think she will be just fine without the new show.
Panettiere has found a new hit-series to be a part of, she is currently playing the part of Juliette on “Nashville,” a show that has been steadily growing its audiences since its first season. NBC hasn’t gone on record about bringing back old cast-members, but it hasn’t announced any new cast-members either. “I think it’s a whole new set of characters,” Panettiere said when asked about possible casting options. “Who knows? It’s a little bit of an interesting feeling because you go, ‘That was our show, our home, our family,’ something that we had a major part in creating as well, and, I mean, I hope that they don’t have somebody else playing our characters, that would be a little dagger in the heart. But, you never know. I wish them success in it, for sure.”
