Final X-MEN Days of Future Past trailer highlights a 70s era Jennifer Lawrence
If you didn’t get your fill of 1970s Jennifer Lawrence in ‘American Hustle’ then you can get another sampling of the internet’s favorite actor in the final trailer for ‘X-MEN Days of Future Past.’ This marks the third and supposed ‘final’ trailer for the big-budget installment to the X-MEN franchise, and it brings with it sentinel robots and a laundry list of heroes and villains.
Just like the film that it is marketing, this trailer is all about sentinels and highlights an epic battle between the robots and the mutants that they are hunting down. The trailer only teases the gigantic war between robot and meta-humans though, you will have to wait until the film releases in May to get the full-scale battle to the death.
Coming in at three-minutes this is one of the longest trailers that has been released so far. In the clip you can watch Wolverine (played by Hugh Jackman) and the young Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) as he puts together his team to battle the horrific robots and save his kind from extinction.
At the center of the plot and creator of the sentinels is Scientist Bolivar Trask (played by the terrific Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones) who must be used to stop the sentinel threat.
The film features time-traveling so expect to see X-Men: First Class and the cast from the X-Men trilogy to mingle with one-another. Fans that are eagerly awaiting the release of ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past,’ still have a few more weeks to wait, the film won’t premiere until May 23.
Also appearing in the film are Halle Berry, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender and of course the lovely Jennifer Lawrence.
