After shopping the film around to interested studios, Vertical Entertainment will be the chosen U.S. distributor for the upcoming romantic-comedy ‘Behaving Badly’. The film will bring Nat Wolff, who recently wrapped up with Shailene Woodley in “The Fault in our Stars,” and actor/singer Selena Gomez together on screen. This is the third name for the film, which was first called “Parental Guidance Suggested,” and also “Feed the Dog.”
The film comes the production teams of Mad Chance and Starboard Entertainment. The project was lead by Tim Garrick, not only did Garrick direct the film but he also cowrote the screenplay with Scott Russell. The film is based on the popular Ric Browde book titled “While I’m Dead…Feed The Dog.” Joining Gomez and Wolff on screen are Mary-Louise Parker, Elisabeth Shue, Dylan McDermott, Jason Lee, Heather Graham, Cary Elwes, Gary Busey, and Patrick Warburton. A terrific cast to say the least, and the film shouldn’t have any trouble putting people in the theaters with that listing.
As for the story, Wolff will play the role of the head-over-heels teen that will do whatever it takes to win the fancy of young Gomez. The story picks up with the young man gets in over his head with stunts, mobsters and calamity.
