Bethenny Frankel is moving from TV to children’s books
After Bethenny Frankel’s TV show ‘Bethenny’ was canceled, her fans waited to hear what the entrepreneur was going to try next, and now they have an answer. Frankel told PEOPLE that will she be taking a break from TV, will be spending more time with her daughter and that she will be writing a children’s book.
“I’m taking a really long break right now – I want to focus on my Skinnygirl brand and my daughter,” this was said at the ‘Dress for Success Gala’ held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in N.Y.C. this past Thursday. “I’ve been working so hard for so long, and I just really want to rest and enjoy and just kind of be.”
Frankel used her role on the reality-series ‘Real Housewives of New York’, to help launch her ‘Skinnygirl’ brand of alcohol, a brand that has seen tremendous success. While her daytime talk-show failed to connect with a solid audience, that adventure was quickly terminated. The new book will be called ‘Cookie and Peanut,’ with inspiration and feedback coming from Frankel’s three year-old daughter Bryn.
In the book Frankel explained that young Bryn was the inspiration for Peanut, while the family dog was Cookie. “I’m reading her the book, and she’s kind of helping me with the story. She likes it,” adding, “it’s really cute and she loves a good children’s book.”
