Although ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ was already a huge hit at Sundance, the real showing will be when the film hits theaters nationwide in the summer. With that project already wrapped, a second John Green novel has already received the green light from FOX 2000.
One of Green’s most popular novels, “Paper Towns” focuses on the life of Quentin and his neighbor Margo. It’s a mystery novel at times, thriller in others, and a love story that’s touching to read. All the while the story highlights Margo, and when she disappears and reappears in Quentin’s life, putting herself in danger and wishing for revenge on those that hurt her. i
Nat Wolff has already nabbed the role of Quentin, though most people will be very interested in who the studio casts as Margo. Scott Neustadter and Michael H. Weber, the writers of “Fault in Our Stars” and “The Spectacular Now,” will be writing the script based on the novel. As Green confirmed on Twitter, “Paper Towns will have the same screenwriters (@iamthepuma and @thisisweber), same producers (@wyckgodfrey), same studio, AND @natandalex.”
“The Fault in Our Stars” is set to premiere on June 6, 2014 starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.
