Diablo Cody’s ‘Ricky and the Flash’ lands Meryl Streep
The new indie-drama written by Diablo Cody ‘Ricky and the Flash,’ will now star Meryl Streep. The film is being helmed by director Jonathan Demme with Marc Platt attached to produce the project.
The story focuses on an older, rockstar, fading from the public’s interest and having been away from her children throughout her career. At this ‘autumn’ stage in her career, she tries to reconnect with one of the children that is going through a touch divorce.
This comes after Streep won an Oscar for her role as Violet Weston in the Weinstein film “August: Osage County.” Over the course of the next year fans will see Streep in “The Giver” and the live-action film from Disney “Into the Woods.”
