Dwayne Johnson has achieved larger-than-life status in both his wrestling career and his blockbuster films, but now the former ‘Rock’ will take-on the role of Hercules in a new film releasing this summer.
The studio released its first trailer this afternoon, filled with lions, sweat and a ton of muscles. The movie takes place after the legendary twelve labors of ancient lore. Now Hercules, the Greek demigod, has his life as a sword-for-hire tested when the King of Thrace and his daughter seek his aid in defeating a tyrannical warlord.

The film was directed by Brett Ratner, from a screenplay written by Ryan Condal and based off the Steve Moore comic-book series. The film stars Dwayne Johnson, John Hurt and Ian McShane. “Hercules” opens in theaters on July 25.
