Kevin Bacon remaking Footloose on the Tonight Show, Jump Back
It’s always important to remember your roots, and for Kevin Bacon, that means remembering that ‘Footloose’ was crucial to his early career. Bacon took to The Tonight Show last-night, where he heard that Jimmy Fallon was forced by NBC to outlaw dancing.
Unable to standby and allow this terrible law to continue, the moment caused Bacon to relive his popular ‘warehouse’ scene from ‘Footloose’ 30 years ago. This year is the 30th anniversary of the film, and although Bacon was on the show to promote his new series ‘The Following’ it was a terrific skit to show that Bacon can take all of his films’ ups and downs in-stride.
Bacon may be 55, but he hasn’t lost a step when it comes to hip-thrusting, angry dancing power. “Dancing is illegal?” said Bacon, adding the classic line “Jump back” and, “this is The Tonight Show. There has to be dancing.”
