FX confirms that Louie will return in May
Fans have been waiting over a year-and-a-half (19 months) for the Emmy-winning series “Louie” to come back, and now the end is near (the end of waiting, the show is just beginning again). FX has confirmed that the popular show will return on May 5, 2014.
When the show does finally returns on that day, there will be new back-to-back episodes, and in fact, there will be two back-to-back episodes every Monday for seven weeks.
Originally we confirmed that FX ordered 13 eps for the series, but when it came down to it, Louis C.K. made 14, because he can.
FX Network’s CEO John Landgraf had this to say about the series, and the wait, “Louis said he needed extra time between seasons three and four of his show because – even though Louie was the most critically acclaimed television comedy series in America – he needed to make it even better,” Landgraf said in a statement. “Based on the first three episodes we’ve seen, remarkably, he accomplished his goal.”
