Helena Bonham Carter set to return as the Red Queen in Alice in Wonderland Sequel
Another actor has been confirmed for the long-awaited follow up to the 201 film ‘Alice in Wonderland,’ and it is the Red Queen herself. Helena Bonham Carter played the role of the Red Queen in the first installment, and she is now in final negotiations to reprise her role in new film ‘Through the Looking Glass’.
Although the film hasn’t begun productions quite a few details have been nailed-down so far, Johnny Depp and Mia Wasikowska will return to Disney to pick up the story where it left off (or a little after where we left off). Still unheard from are two stars from the original, Anne Hathaway and Alan Rickman.
Behind the camera we will have James Bobin to direct the film, with Joe Roth once again attached as a producer for the project. There is even a release date, the film has a premiere date set for May 27, 2016.
