Warner Bros. is set to release the “Veronica Mars” movie at long last and it’s all thanks to the fans that have supported the show since it last aired in 2007. The film was directed by Rob Thomas, based off a screenplay written by both Rob and Diane Ruggiero and it’s trending to be the most successful Kickstarter films to-date.
The film will bring back the original cast of characters fans loved, as well introduce a few new faces while Veronica is off solving a new case. Leading the cast is Kristen Bell as the title character, with Jason Dohring, Krysten Ritter, Ryan Hansen, Francis Capra, Percy Daggs III, Chris Lowell, Tina Majorino and Enrico Colantoni are also on board.
In the new film Veronica Mars has put Neptune and her amateur sleuthing days behind her on the eve of graduating law school. While interviewing at high-end law firms, Veronica gets a call from her ex-boyfriend Logan who has been accused of murder. Veronica heads back to Neptune just to help Logan find an attorney, but when things don’t seem right with how Logan’s case is perceived and handled, Veronica finds herself being pulled back into a life she thought she had left behind.
The film will be released in theaters and available on-line on the same day, March 14, 2014.
