Samsung to kick off “One Samsung” marketing campaign during Oscars
A new ad-campaign from Samsung Electronics America will begin this weekend. The simple phrase “One Samsung” will launch on Sunday, March 2 during the Oscars television broadcast. The marketing campaign will feature new television ads along with digital extensions and on-site presence during the awards ceremony to pay tribute to how consumers use technology in their lives.
The highlight of the campaign is the creative ads featuring Samsung’s portfolio of products including the recently announced Galaxy Note Pro, Galaxy S 5, Samsung Gear 2, Samsung Gear Fit and the world’s first curved UHD TV. The simple relatable phrase, “You Need to See This,” is carried throughout the ads, and the series of films are centered around celebrating life’s incredible moments experienced through technology. Additional ads showcase the innovative features that distinguish Samsung’s recently announced products and their powerful screens.
“From our TVs, to smartphones, tablets, and wearable devices – Samsung is continually first to market with new technology that helps our consumers live better lives in today’s world,” said Todd Pendleton, Chief Marketing Officer of Samsung Telecommunications America. “This campaign celebrates the incredible things that happen with Samsung products.”
The TV spots will launch during Samsung’s more than 5 minutes of air time on Sunday’s award show on ABC. The creative will also appear in digital ads and promotion through social media channels. Following Sunday’s airings, the ads will run nationally on major networks, cable and online.
