Ellen Page “I’m here today because I am gay,” a touching moment at Conference
Popular actor Ellen Page took the stage at the Las Vegas conference for the promotion and support of LGBT youth. It was a surprising moment on stage, and one that no one expected. The crowd was very welcoming to Page who stated, “I’m here today because I am gay,” adding, “And because maybe I can make a difference. To help others have an easier and more hopeful time. Regardless, for me, I feel a personal obligation and a social responsibility.”
Page’s fan base has grown significantly over the years, her next project “X-Men: Days of Future Past” is due out later this year. Page took time away form traditional acting last year to tackle the Playstation 3 game, “Beyond: Two Souls” where she voiced and did the MoCap for the character Jodie Holmes.
