Pretty Little Liars ‘Shadow Play’ episode is a black and white tribute to Film Noir
Fans have been crushing the competition on Twitter and Social Media this year with ABC’s hit series ‘Pretty Little Liars’. The show has been dominating the ratings, as fans Tweet, Post and Share each week’s best details.
The new episode premiering tonight is called ‘Shadow Play’ and it’s one of the most unique episodes of the season. Later tonight, Spencer’s search will take her down a dark and stormy path, the perfect setting for the new episode, which will be an all-new black and white episode airing Tuesday, February 11th (8:00 – 9:00 PM ET/PT) on ABC. It’s a tribute to one of film’s most nostalgic genres, the film noir, when the woman were cunning, intelligent, beautiful and deadly (sound familiar right?).
Spencer’s numerous sleepless nights with the help of prescription pills start to take a toll on her as her hunt for Ali and much needed answers continues. As she pours over newly acquired information, her world view takes a black and white turn. Now teleported into the world of 1940’s Film Noir, Spencer tries to come up with the answers she and her friends have been desperately looking for. But in this world of fedora hats, switchboards and 15 cent coffee, can Spencer finally put all of the pieces together that lay in front of her?
“Pretty Little Liars” is produced by Alloy Entertainment in association with Warner Horizon Television and is executive produced by I. Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Leslie Morgenstein and Joseph Dougherty. The series stars Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Ian Harding, Laura Leighton, Shay Mitchell, Janel Parrish and Sasha Pieterse.
We are extremely excited to see how the series plays out this season, and we think the black-and-white twist will liven up an already terrific storyline.
