Shia LaBeouf avoids press, wears paper bag mask to Nymphomaniac premiere

Shia LaBeouf is having an odd time in Berlin this week, earlier the actor attended a press-conference where he answered just one-question with a quote, then quietly excused himself before leaving without explanation. Now the actor attended a premiere wearing a black tux and bow tie, with a bag on his head stating, “I am not famous anymore” written across the front.

It may be fashion week here in New York, but even a paper bag is an odd statement, the actor hit the red carpet at the Berlin Film Festival gala premiere for his new film from Lars von Trier called Nymphomaniac: Part 1. This occurred late Sunday night local Berlin time.

LaBeouf, who is 27, has made this statement before, taking to Twitter to say that he wasn’t famous for several weeks in a row. Earlier we told you that LeBeouf walked out of the press-conference with a quote, that quote was, “When the seagulls follow the trawler, it’s because they think sardines will be thrown into the sea. Thank you very much.”

You may have heard the quote before, it is from soccer legend Eric Cantona, who said it at a press conference in 1995 after an incident with a fan.

Christian Slater, Stacy Martin, Stellan Skarsgard and Uma Thurman are also on-hand to promote the film, none of them have made a comment on Shia’s behavior at this time.
