Zachary Quinto takes on Hitman role based on popular video game
Zachary Quinto will be following up his popular role as Spock on the rebooted Star Trek franchise with a new role based on a video game character. The new film, currently being called Agent 47, is based on the ‘Hitman’ series from IO Interactive and published from Square Enix.
In the original film based on the series the lead role went to Timothy Olyphant, the new film had Paul Walker lined-up for the lead-role but after Walker’s untimely death the studio was forced to pick a new leader or scrap the project. The studio went with Rupert Friend, who fans may remember from the popular Homeland series on Showtime.
It was not disclosed which part Quinto would be taking in the new film, the studio plans to start production in March, so news of his character is most likely only a few weeks away.
